Don’t overlook this spot…Wow! I was debating whether to go here because it was in a different direction then my route that day but I am glad I decided to stop at this coffee shop just before leaving town for a work trip. I came across it on Yelp and visited the website to research the story behind the shop which is very interesting. From the first taste of the cup of coffee you can tell the owner really cares about quality coffee. I enjoyed a pour over cup of "The Breakaway" (no cream nor sugar so I could taste the full flavor) and the flavor notes were JUST as described. Also as advertised on the website the coffee does not leave you with that "crash" feeling later. I will definitely be coming back and also purchasing bags of beans in the future. It was a wonderful coffee drinking experience and one I was not expecting in this little college town. Hands down one of my top favorites. Also had a sausage, egg, and cheese on a bagel. The bagel was soft and fresh and the sandwich overall was really good. The vibe was good inside, seemed like a good place to chill if I was staying longer.

Some of the kindest staff and best tasting coffee in Starkville - I don't know what more someone could ask for from a coffee shop! I've been probably over 30 times, maybe more and almost every time the staff is very friendly and the coffee is amazing. So, this review isn't just a one-time idea. This place is consistently great! If you're coming through Starkville, make sure to give is a try!

I didn't know about Umble before Coffee Fest and i'm so glad that I got to try it. The service was an 11/10! Both people that served me were so helpful. I'm not the biggest coffee drinker but the Gingersnap was so good that I would drink it every day! It's a perfect chill spot to study, do work, or anything else. I can't wait to come back with my friends after the break!

Umble is hands down my favorite place to get coffee and some food! Every single thing I have ordered has been a new favorite. Nothing on the menu will let you down! My go tos are the Mixed Berry Refresher (always a 16oz), and a bagel! Recently the sundried tomato bagel with pesto has been my favorite! The service is phenomenal and everyone makes sure your experience is nothing less than the best. I can’t say enough good things about Umble - especially when it’s a sunny day and the garage door is open! Overall, it’s always an 11/10 experience. I’m so glad Umble opened in Starkville!

Great coffee and breakfast sandwiches. This is better than what you can get at Starbucks. Only down size is the cups only go to 16oz.

Second time visiting after a co-worker introduced me to Umble. Great flavor, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. Have gotten a large Base Camp coffee both times. Consistent taste and texture. Will be back each time I'm in Starkville.

I’m happy that finally made it here! I’m a coffee aficionado from Florida that loves to roast and brew my own coffee, and stop at coffee shops during my travels. Keneth was a valuable contributor to my coffee journey through his podcast, and it was a pleasure to stop by and try one of his coffees. It was a great pour over, Brewer’s Cup… and also impressed that my name wasn’t spelled with “H” - LOL

Best coffee in town. Not biased and 100% in love. I am dreading the day I move in 2 years specifically because I will no longer have Umble. There are tons of places you can go here and Starkville and they are not bad!! However, not a single one can match Umble in quality/taste/vibes. Their building itself is spacious making for plenty of seating, they have a massive outdoor seating area, and a whole stinking walking trail!! They are dog friendly and roast their own coffee. They have a stage for local performers and even put on a Christmas Market for the community. What more could you want? If you only can stop at one coffee shop in Starkville, make sure it is Umble. PS: I am a student here and this is my #1 pick for studying. Temp is perfectly fine, their music choices are great but not too loud, and there are plug ins that are strategically places by quite a few tables. You also have the option to go outside to one of their like 7 picnic tables (or super comfy lawn chairs) to study.
